Graduates will acquire an in-depth knowledge and ability to develop a thorough understanding of appropriate research techniques in management, competence in independent investigation, advanced research and make significant, original contributions to the development of new knowledge in the field of management.
The objectives of the programme are to prepare individuals to
PEO1 | Have thorough understanding of classical and modern theories, methodologies, practices and their implications in the selected topics of research in Management field. |
PEO2 | Have experimental knowledge and analytical abilities to solve current issues and problems in the relevant field of Management. |
PEO3 | Have relevant skills of research and apply them efficiently and effectively to suit various types of societal needs. |
PEO4 | Keep abreast of current issues and innovative advancements in Management taking into account relevant commercial, ethical, social and legal issues. |
PEO5 | Publish their research in the relevant fields of Management, and disseminate its knowledge, truth and benefits to the entire Business world. |
PEO6 | Be future leaders who are knowledgeable and competent in their chosen Management fields of study. |
PEO7 | Develop an indispensable thirst for research. |
PEO8 | Strengthen their technical skills to design, evaluate, implement, analyse, theorise and disseminate research that makes a contribution to society. |
At the end of this programme, students should be able to
PLO1 | Synthesise knowledge in Management. |
PLO2 | Adapt practical skills leading towards innovative ideas in Management. |
PLO3 | Provide professional services to society in Management. |
PLO4 | Conduct research independently and adhere to the legal, ethical and professional code of practice in Management. |
PLO5 | Communicate and work effectively with peers, scholarly communities and stakeholders, while displaying leadership qualities. |
PLO6 | Appraise problems in the relevant field of Management, critically using scientific skills. |
PLO7 | Integrate information to develop lifelong learning in the relevant field. |
PLO8 | Contribute on original research that has broadened the boundary of knowledge through an in-depth thesis, which has been presented and defended according to the international standards including writing in internationally refereed publications in Management. |
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
A Master’s degree (MQF Level 7) in a business
OR
Related field as accepted by the Senate
OR
Other qualifications equivalent to a Master’s degree as accepted by the Senate.
International students are required to achieve a minimum score of 6.0 for IELTS or its equivalent.
