Overview of Doctor of Philosophy (Medical Science) in Taylor's University Malaysia

Doctor of Philosophy (Medical Science) is a prestigious doctorate degree where students will develop capabilities that would allow them to carry out research in a leadership role, and allow the development of innovative approaches to achieve success of science in extending the frontiers of knowledge in a broad range of disciplines of health sciences. 

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY

Students are required to pass the Research Methodology modules (6 credit hours) in the first year of their candidature

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

• Master’s Degree in Medical Science

A Master’s degree in the relevant field.

• Relevant Bachelor’s Degree

A Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (or its equivalent) / Bachelor of Dentistry and evidence of postgraduate specialist which is equivalent to Master’s Degree.

• Other Qualifications

An equivalent qualification approved by the Senate from time to time; and Evidence of adequate training and ability to undertake the Degree programme of study; and Satisfies the Department responsible for the candidate’s programme of study of suitability of candidacy in a selection interview by the Faculty members.
