Overview of Bachelor of Technology Management (Honours) in Universiti Kuala Lumpur Malaysia
Bachelor of Technology Management (Hons) is a three (3) years and six (6) months programme that focuses on the application of management skills and proper use of technology to generate wealth, especially in Malaysia. This programme is offered to fulfil both the present and future industry needs as follows:
Efficient management of industry which requires managers that have the knowledge and skills in technology management.
This programme will address the shortage of middle managers which are in demand by industry.
Programme Educational Objectives (PEOs)
PEO 1
To produce graduates who are knowledgeable, competent and innovative in management and technology, which will contribute towards the human capital in the technology related industry.

To produce graduates who have effective leadership and team work skills with effective interpersonal communication skills to support their role in the industry.

Majors in technology management will be able to:

Apply knowledge of management and technology to the defined and applied procedures, processes, systems or methodologies.
PLO 2
Identify, formulate, research literature and solve management and technology problems reaching substantiated conclusions using appropriate analytical tools.
PLO 3
Apply solutions for management and technology problems and identify appropriate design of systems, components or processes to meet specified needs with appropriate consideration for public health and safety, cultural, societal and environmental considerations.
PLO 4
Conduct investigations of management and technology problems; locate, search and select relevant data from codes, data bases and literature to provide a valid conclusion.
PLO 5
Select and apply appropriate techniques, resources and modern technological and management tools, including prediction and modeling to business problems.
PLO 6
Function effectively as an individual, and as a member or leader in diverse technical teams.
PLO 7
Communicate effectively on management and technology activities with the practitioner community and with society at large, by being able to comprehend and write effective reports, make effective presentations and give and receive clear instructions.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
LOCAL STUDENTS
Minimum MUET Band 2 and
Pass Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) or equivalent with minimum Grade C (GP 2.0) in Mathematics and ONE (1) relevant science subject; OR
Recognised Diploma in Engineering or Engineering Technology or equivalent with minimum CGPA 2.0; OR
Pass A-Level with minimum Grade D in Mathematics and ONE (1) relevant science subject; OR
Pass matriculation with minimum CGPA 2.0 with minimum Grade C (CGPA 2.0) in Mathematics and ONE (1) relevant science subject; OR
STAM with minimum Jayyid minimum Grade C (CGPA 2.0) in Mathematics and ONE (1) relevant science subject or equivalent; OR
Pass in International Baccalaureate (IB) with at least 24 points; OR
Pass Higher National Diploma (HND) UK (MQF Level 4) in related area and recognized by government of Malaysia and according to approval by UniKL Senate;
Qualification of 12 years of schooling with the following conditions:
It is the highest school qualification in the country of origin;
It can be used as entry qualification for bachelor’s degree programme in the country of origin.
Diploma Kemahiran Malaysia (DKM)/ Diploma Lanjutan Kemahiran Malaysia (DLKM)/ Diploma Vokasional Malaysia (DVM) Qualification
Pass Diploma Kemahiran Malaysia (DKM)/ Diploma Lanjutan Kemahiran Malaysia (DLKM)/ Diploma Vokasional Malaysia (DVM) with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 subject to the approval of the Senate / Academic Board of the relevant institution; OR
Pass the DKM/DLKM/DVM with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 AND have at least two (2) years of work experience in the related field.
And achieved minimum MUET Band 2 as requirement to graduate.
INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
Student must complete 12 years of schooling and obtain general pass in their High School Certificate, A-levels or equivalent with min Grade C (60%) in any 2 subjects and min Grade C (60%) in Mathematics in their Secondary School or O-level.
