Overview of Bachelor Of Laws (Hons) in Universiti Utara Malaysia UUM Malaysia

The educational objectives of the Bachelor of Law (LL. B) program School of Law in UUM are to produce professionals in Law who:

1. Synthesize, apply and organize the principles of Law from its sources as well as understand the fundamental legal principle, practice and procedures of Malaysian law.
2. Good in communication and able to utilize ICT to advance their knowledge and skill.
3. Demonstrate practical legal skills such as in drafting of pleadings, drafting of contractual documents, advocacy skills, negotiation skills and skills necessary for alternative dispute resolution;
4. Integrate ethical and professional values and moral obligation and internalize sense of awareness to uphold rule of law and social justice in legal related profession locally or globally.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

STPM

1. Earn at least (CGPA 3.00) at STPM level
2. Obtained at least honors at SPM level in English subjects Grade C / 6C and in History subjects Grade B / 4B
3. Get at least MUET with Band 4 or
4. Obtained at least Level 3 MUET (Band 3) and Grade A- for English subjects at SPM level.

MALAYSIAN RELIGIOUS HIGH CERTIFICATE (STAM)

1. Obtained at least the rank of Jayyid Jiddan at the STAM level
2. Obtained at least credit at SPM level in English subject Grade C / 6C and in History subject Grade B / 4B
3. Get at least MUET with Band 4 or
4. Obtained at least Level 3 MUET (Band 3) and Grade A- for English subjects at SPM level. 

KPM MATRICULATION / FOUNDATION UM AND UITM CANDIDATE

1. Earn at least (CGPA 3.00) at the Matriculation / Foundation level
2. Obtained at least Grade B credit at SPM level in history subject
3. Get at least MUET with Band 4 or
4. Obtained at least Level 3 MUET (Band 3) and Grade A- for English subjects at SPM level.

DIPLOMA (UA, POLITEKNIK, IPTS)

1. Possess a Diploma in Public Administration or a Diploma in Law UITM or a Diploma recognized as equivalent by the Malaysian government and approved by the university senate with a minimum CGPA of 3.00
2. Obtained at least credit at SPM level in English Language subject Grade C / 6C and in History subject Grade B / 4B
3. Get at least MUET with Band 4 or
4. Obtained at least Level 3 MUET (Band 3) and Grade A- for English subjects at SPM level.
