The Duration of studying Accounts in Malaysia are as follows:

A Diploma course in Malaysia for Accounts is usually 2-2.5 years long. It covers all the required points of the course. After this, you can either start working or proceed for the 2nd year of the Degree course of Accounts in Malaysia. 

A Degree course in Malaysia for Accounts is always 3 years long along with the completion of Pre-U Qualification to get into a Degree program of Accounts in Malaysia.

Entry requirements to study accounting in Malaysia

To study Accounts in Malaysia the general requirement for entry are as follows:
Diploma in Accounting:

SPM / O-Level: Minimum Three credits, including a pass in Mathematics, English, Bahasa Malaysia and History. It is usually 2-2.5 years long which covers all the fundamentals of the accounting course in Malaysia. 

Bachelor Degree in Accounting in Malaysia:

Candidates who want to pursue the study of Accounts from Malaysia will require to complete the SPM or Equivalent and also complete a Pre-U Qualification.

  • STPM: Minimum 2C+s
  • Australian Matriculation: Minimum of ATAR 65; or

  • Asasi or Matrikulasi: Minimum CGPA of 2.50
  • It is a 3-year course and needs a student to at least pass in Mathematics, English, Bahasa Malaysia and History at the SPM level.
