Priority will be given to candidates with a good principal in Mathematics, Advanced Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.
Bahasa Malaysia Requirement
A candidate who is a citizen of Malaysia must be in possession of a credit in Bahasa Malaysia at Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia / Malaysian Certificate of Education (SPM/MCE) level or its equivalent before being permitted to register for a higher degree at this University. Foreign candidates will be required to study Bahasa Malaysia and pass a prescribed examination which is equivalent to Sijil Rendah Pelajaran / Lower Certificate of Education (SRP/LCE) during their period of candidature at this University. Further, individual Schools or Centres are not precluded from specifying additional language or other requirements.
English Language
Foreign students are required to have a minimum standard of proficiency in English. For this purpose, the University administers a diagnostic test and where applicable may require students to attend remedial English classes. Those unable to meet these minimum standards may be required to withdraw from the programme concerned.
