The Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) at Management and Science University is a five year medical programme offered at the main campus in Shah Alam and the offshore campus in Bangalore, India. This programme is delivered through three phases, namely Phase 1 (Year 1), Phase 2 (Year 2) and Phase 3 (Years 3, 4 & 5). Both Phases 1 and 2 are delivered through systembased modules. Phase 3 is conducted through discipline-based postings in:- • Medicine • Surgery • Obstetrics & Gynaecology • Paediatric • Psychiatry • Primary Care • Orthopaedics • Emergency Medicine In the first and second year, your understanding of basic medical sciences is strengthened in preparation for the upcoming years. In year three, the focus is on developing basic clinical skills and knowledge. The fourth year is an introduction to the different specialties in medicine. Year five concentrates on consolidating clinical skills with knowledge.
All applicants from Matriculation, Foundation, or Pre-Medical programmes except those with a degree qualification in the Arts/Humanities shall have passed and attained a minimum of the following at School Certificate Level or equivalent:
SPM with 5B in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics or Additional Mathematics, and one (1) other subject; OR
GCE O-Level with 5B in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics or Additional Mathematics, and one (1) other subject; OR
UEC with B4 in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics or Mathematics or Additional Mathematics.
All applicants except those with a degree qualification in the Arts/Humanities shall have passed and attained a minimum of the following:
A. at Higher School Certificate Level or equivalent,
STPM with BBB, ABC, or AAC in Biology, Chemistry, Physics or Mathematics;
GCE A-Level with BBB, ABC, or AAC in Biology, Chemistry, Physics or Mathematics;
Matriculation / Foundation in Science / Pre-Medical Course, with 3.0 out of 4.0 CGPA in Biology, Chemistry, Physics or Mathematics, provided that the course is not less than one (1) year at the same accredited institution and its minimum entry qualification is 5B in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics (or Additional Mathematics) and another subject at School Certificate Level or equivalent;
UEC with B4 in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, and Additional Mathematics; Monash University Foundation / Pre-University Program (MUFY) / University of New South Wales (UNSW) Foundation / Western Australia Curriculum Council / HSC Sydney Australia / Trinity College Foundation Studies / Australian Universities Foundation Programmes / South Australian Matriculation (SAM) / Victorian Certificate of Education, Australia, Year 12 / Australian Matriculation (AUSMAT), with aggregate or 80% average or equivalent to B in any three (3) subjects from Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics;
National Certificate of Educational Achievement (NCEA) Level 3 / New Zealand Bursary with 80% average in any three (3) subjects from Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics / Canadian Pre-University (CPU) / Canadian International Matriculation Program (CIMP / Canadian Grade 12/13) / Ontario Secondary School Diploma Grade 12 with 80% average in any three (3) subjects from Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics / Indian Pre-University with 70% average in any three (3) subjects from Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics / International Baccalaureate (IB) with thirty (30) points and two (2) Science subjects or Mathematics at Higher Level (HL) and one (1) Science subject at Standard Level and score of 4 in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or Mathematics;
B. at Diploma level,
Diploma in Health Sciences, with 3.5 out of 4.0 CGPA, provided the course is not less than five (5) semesters or 2 ½ years in the same accredited institution and its minimum entry qualification is two (2) Bs, in Biology, and/or Chemistry, and/or Physics; and three (3) Credits in English and Mathematics or Additional Mathematics and another subject at school-certificate level or equivalent;
C. at Bachelor’s Degree level,
Degree in Health or Pure or Applied Sciences, 3.0 out of 4.0 CGPA;
5-year medical programme:
Degree in Health or Pure/Applied Science: CGPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 is required;
Degree in the Arts/Humanties: CGPA of 3.75 out of 4.0 is required;
4-year graduate-entry medical programme:
Degree in the Arts/Humanities: CGPA of 3.75 out of 4.0 is required;
Applicants must pass an aptitude test and/or interview and/or university entrance examination;
There shall be no exemption from any year of a 4-year graduate medical programme.
