Distributing medication to customers is the service of a Community Pharmacist in any retail store. You are also supposed to assess the dosage of prescriptions to the customers.
Hospital Pharmacists also prepare hypodermic medications, they also play a part in participating in ward rounds and purchasing and testing the quality of the medications used in the hospital in addition to dispensing medications in the hospital.
Pharmacists are also expected to decide what medication is best for each patient and find out if there are any errors done by the doctors whilst prescribing medication to patients.
To ensure there are no possible harmful drug interactions between medications the pharmacists review other medications which are being taken by the patients prior to their current treatments.

A typical undergraduate degree in Pharmacy is 4 years long. A-Levels A-Level students have to study chemistry and usually one other science subject like biology, maths or physics. BTEC BTEC students usually study applied science or have this subject accompanied by one or two science-based A-Levels. GCSEs Students will need at least 5 GCSEs, with a grade C/4 or above, Which includes English, maths and mostly a science-based subject. The point to keep in mind is that some courses will require your GCSEs to be at a grade B/6 or above. International Baccalaureate A high level in Chemistry with a grade of 6 is required for most pharmacy courses. Some study will require you to have another subject at a higher level too. A well-known university will require you to have a 6,6,5 at a higher level. In addition to the grades you acquire, your university will look at how well you can demonstrate the understanding of the subject and the inclination to work as a pharmacist.

100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) in open book format. All questions shall be answered within 3 hours and 30 minutes. Each question has four (4) options with a single correct response only. The Eligibility mark is 50%. This exam contains negative marking. Right answer carries one mark and 0.25 negative mark for each wrong answer will be deducted. No marks will be deducted for questions not attempted. Students are allowed to refer to the relevant acts/regulations, Code of Conduct for Pharmacista and Bodies Corporate, references regarding Malaysian National Medicines Policy and Good Governance for Medicine.
