Overview of Foundation in Accountancy in Imperium International College Malaysia

About the Programme

ACCA Foundation in Accountancy (ACCA FIA) is the Foundation programme leading to the ACCA programme. With the ACCA FIA equivalency approved by the MQA, ACCA Malaysia requires all the Approved Learning Partners (ALPs) to offer ACCA FIA (in replacement of the current CAT) effective from January 2021.

This programme is designed by ACCA to achieve the following benefits for the students:

1. Lower cost of studying the ACCA FIA / ACCA Qualification (less cost of two CAT papers).
2. Faster progress through the ACCA FIA / ACCA Qualification, with CAT taking between one to one and-a-half year, while ACCA FIA is within one year.
3. Expected higher rate of progression from ACCA FIA to ACCA, as the ACCA FIA papers have higher pass rates compared to the CAT specialist papers.
