Overview of Bachelor of Information Technology Honours in Quest International University Perak Malaysia

The Bachelor of Information Technology (Hons) programme aims to teach graduates about the design, development and application of information and communication technologies used to help organisations thrive in a challenging business climate.

The programme places an emphasis on acquiring the specialised skills needed for successful and long-term careers in the IT industry. Students will learn how to integrate advanced computing theories with extended core competencies on project management, cyberpreneurship and business intelligence, in shaping industry-ready graduates for the ever demanding IT environment.

Blended with an innovative curriculum, this programme balances theory and practical applications in a broad range of Internet technologies. Students will go through extensive laboratory practice with four months of intensive industrial training designed to provide substantial exposure in the real world. Through this programme, they will develop strong analytical skills and apply critical thinking abilities to solve complex business problems with IT knowledge, principles and practical industry applications.

Examinations	Requirements
Sijil Tinggi Pelajaran Malaysia (STPM)	Pass Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) with two full passes in 2 subjects and with a credit in Mathematics at the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) level.
General Certificate of Education Advanced (“A”) levels	Pass A-Level / New South Wales Higher School Certificate (NSW HSC) with passes in 2 subjects
QIU Foundation in Business / Science	Pass QIU’s Foundation in Business / Science Programmes with CGPA ≥ 2.0
SAM / AUSMAT / UNSW Foundation / NSW HSC / SIT Foundation / MUFY / CIMP / CPU	Pass with a minimum CGPA of 2.0
Government Matriculation	Pass with CGPA of 2.0
Unified Examination Certificate (UEC)	A minimum of Grade B in five (5) subjects
Indian Higher School Certificate (HSC) / Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC)	Grade C+ in any three subjects (A: 75-100; B+: 66-74; B: 57-65; C+: 50-56; C: 45-49)
Diploma in IT / Computer Science / any other fields	Pass Diploma in Computer Science, Information System, Information Technology, Software Engineering or equivalent with a minimum CGPA of 2.5. Candidates with CGPA below 2.5 but above 2.0 may be admitted subject to rigorous internal assessment process
International Baccalaureate (IB)	Pass with 24 points
Bangladesh Higher School Certificate (HSC)	Grade C+ in any three subjects, including English (A: 75-100; B+: 66-74; B: 57-65; C+: 50-56; C: 45-49)
Other Qualifications	Other qualifications will be assessed based on the Senate’s recommendation and referred to MQA for approval on a case by case basis
