Master in Health Sciences is a mixed mode (coursework and research) programme for students who graduate from a bachelor’s degree in health and medical sciences, or a related field. It aims to nurture students with holistic approaches including the opportunities for national or international collaborations, specialised training courses (seminar, workshops, etc), and a rich health research experience.
All research students have to take eight modules, Biostatistics, Clinical Research Methodology, Ethics in Healthcare Science, Biomedical Physics for Health Sciences, Current trend, technology and issues in healthcare management, Pathophysiology and Molecular Diagnostics, Psychology for Health Sciences and Dissertation.
Students are required to pass Clinical Research Methodology before the commencement of project. Students will have a designated supervisor who is a member of academic staff with research expertise in the student’s area of study. At the end of work completion, students are expected to submit their Master’s dissertation for examination and attend a defence for their thesis.
