Robotic Design and Development at Taylor's is a multi-disciplinary programme combining mechanical engineering, electrical & electronics and computer science. It is designed to equip students with a sound understanding of fundamental theories and concepts in Robotics technology. This programme incorporates Work-Based Learning for students in their 3rd year. This will allow students to develop specialist knowledge, theory and skills by using the workplace as a context for project-based or practice-evidenced learning. The degree programme will cover the methodical processes such as algorithms, in order to acquire, represent, process, store, communicate and access information.
With this degree students will embark on Work-Based Learning (WBL) for their 3rd year.
PRIMARY MAJOR
This component consists of Common Core subjects, which are common modules across a discipline that provides the fundamental knowledge of the discipline.

This component aims to develop critical thinking, build up social intelligence and cultivate civic responsibility as well as broaden cultural knowledge. These consist of compulsory and nationally-mandated study modules required by the Malaysian Ministry of Higher Education.
The Flexible Education component provides student the flexibility to study modules in a related or unrelated field from the same or different school to complement the Primary Major. It may be completed in a form of free electives, an extension, minors or a second major that typically requires at least one (1) semester of student learning time.

Pass with 5Bs including B in Mathematics
Pass with min. EEE or equivalent of 120 points including Mathematics
Min. ATAR 65 including Mathematics (preferably Specialist Mathematics)
Min. average of 60% average in 6 subjects including Advanced Functions, Calculus & Vectors and Physics / Chemistry
Min. 24 points in 6 subjects including Mathematics
Min 55% including Mathematics A & B
A pass in Diploma in Computer Science or Diploma in Engineering or Diploma in Engineering Technology with a minimum CGPA of 2.5 and a credit in Additional Mathematics at SPM or its equivalent
