Overview of Bachelor of Aviation Management (Hons.) in Universiti Kuala Lumpur

The Bachelor of Aviation Management (Hons.) is a programme one of its kind. We will be the first institute in this region to offer this programme. This degree programme encompasses four major components of the aviation industry namely:
- Airport management
- Airlines management
- Logistics management
- General management
Malaysia and other parts of the world are in dire need for professionals and trained personnel in these fields. Universiti Kuala Lumpur Malaysian Institute of Aviation Technology (UniKL MIAT) is here to support this needs. This programme had been specifically designed for the aviation and logistics industries. It had received positive support from these industries, and the course contents are at par with other major international institutions of higher learning. As a summary, this programme takes four years to complete comprising of 8 semesters. Students must take 140 credit hours of these subjects to graduate. The compulsory industrial training and Final Year Project form part of this programme.

Programme Learning Outcomes (PLO)
Majors in aviation will be able to:

Apply fundamental knowledge of aviation management.

Identify, analyse, evaluate and solve problems using various appropriate, management methods.

Identify, describe and assess aviation related entrepreneurial opportunities to develop a suitable business solution and plans

Conduct research on and investigations of problems and issues on various aspects of aviation management.

Utilise suitable ICT tools as enablers for aviation management.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
Student must complete 12 years of schooling and obtain general pass in their High School Certificate, A-levels or equivalent with min Grade C (60%) in Mathematics and one of the Science subjects (such as Physics, Chemistry or Biology – depending on the programme)
IELTS 5.0 or its equivalent
