Programme Overview
IT and computing have evolved from time to time. Ever since the dawn of the internet, confidentiality, authenticity, and integrity of information had become an issue. Threats such as Hacking, Malicious Codes, and Application Vulnerability have changed how IT benefits the human race. This programme is uniquely designed to fulfill the demand for the computer security professional in the job market where network security, information security management, secure software, secure software development and cyber forensic areas apply in an organization which requires them.
CAREER PROSPECTS
Upon completion of this degree programme, students shall enter the information security job market as information security professionals, IT Security Officer or a Security Analyst in defending and securing computer networks, developing secure software and application, developing a firm security and ICT policy and capable of performing a digital forensic investigation.

Entry Requirements
Entry Requirements of Bachelor of Information Technology (Hons.) in Computer System Security in Universiti Kuala Lumpur Malaysia
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
LOCAL STUDENTS
Minimum MUET Band 2 and
Pass Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) or equivalent with minimum Grade C (GP 2.0) in Mathematics and ONE (1) relevant science subject; OR
Recognised Diploma in Engineering or Engineering Technology or equivalent with minimum CGPA 2.0; OR
Pass A-Level with minimum Grade D in Mathematics and ONE (1) relevant science subject; OR
Pass matriculation with minimum CGPA 2.0 with minimum Grade C (CGPA 2.0) in Mathematics and ONE (1) relevant science subject; OR
STAM with minimum Jayyid minimum Grade C (CGPA 2.0) in Mathematics and ONE (1) relevant science subject or equivalent; OR
Pass in International Baccalaureate (IB) with at least 24 points; OR
Pass Higher National Diploma (HND) UK (MQF Level 4) in related area and recognized by government of Malaysia and according to approval by UniKL Senate;
Qualification of 12 years of schooling with the following conditions:
It is the highest school qualification in the country of origin;
It can be used as entry qualification for bachelor’s degree programme in the country of origin.
Diploma Kemahiran Malaysia (DKM)/ Diploma Lanjutan Kemahiran Malaysia (DLKM)/ Diploma Vokasional Malaysia (DVM) Qualification
Pass Diploma Kemahiran Malaysia (DKM)/ Diploma Lanjutan Kemahiran Malaysia (DLKM)/ Diploma Vokasional Malaysia (DVM) with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 subject to the approval of the Senate / Academic Board of the relevant institution; OR
Pass the DKM/DLKM/DVM with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 AND have at least two (2) years of work experience in the related field.
And achieved minimum MUET Band 2 as requirement to graduate.
INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
Student must complete 12 years of schooling and obtain general pass in their High School Certificate, A-levels or equivalent with min Grade C (60%) in any 2 subjects and min Grade C (60%) in Mathematics in their Secondary School or O-level.
IELTS 5.0 or its equivalent
