Overview of Bachelor of Engineering Technology (Hons) in Business Management in Universiti Kuala Lumpur Malaysia
Bachelor of Engineering Technology (Hons.) in Business Management is a fully accredited four-year programme that aims at providing technical and managerial skills required for Malaysian manufacturing sector. The objective of IPROM is to produce graduates with competent knowledge in technology, engineering, management as well as business. Other aspects of the industrial requirement such as customer relationship, quality, and continuous improvement are also emphasized in order to prepare students for the highly competitive industrial environment.
As manufacturing endeavor becomes more technologically driven and with the forces of globalization, our graduates must also be exposed to the latest skills required for managing a global enterprise. IPROM continues to rely on its experienced teaching staff whose knowledge and skills in the hands-on training are comparable to the industrial standards. Knowledge acquired by our graduates will prepare them for the challenges in the real world and this gives them the edge they need to be a competent and skilled worker in the Malaysian industrial sector.

Majors in engineering technology will be able to:

Apply knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals and engineering business management to the defined and applied engineering procedures, processes, systems or methodologies.
PLO 2
Identify, formulate, research literature and solve broadly-defined engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using analytical tools appropriate to engineering business management discipline.
PLO 3
Design solutions for broadly-defined engineering business management problems and contribute to the design of systems, components or processes to meet specified needs with appropriate consideration for public health and safety, cultural, societal and environmental considerations.
PLO 4
Conduct investigations of broadly-defined engineering business management; locate, search and select relevant data from codes, data bases and literature, design and conduct experiments to provide valid conclusion
PLO 5
Select and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering tools, including prediction and modeling, to broadly-defined engineering business management activities, with an understanding of the limitations.

Function effectively as an individual, and as a member or leader in diverse technical teams.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
LOCAL STUDENTS
Pass STPM or its equivalent with at least Grade C (GP2.0) in any 2 subjects, and a pass in Mathematics and English at SPM level, or any equivalent qualification; OR
A pass in STAM with a minimum grade of Jayyid, and a pass in Mathematics and English at SPM level; OR
Any qualifications equivalent to Diploma or Advanced Diploma with CGPA 2.00; OR
Matriculation/Foundation qualification with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 out of 4.00, or any equivalent qualification; OR
Pass A-Level with minimum Grade D in TWO (2) subjects and a pass in Mathematics and English at O level, or any equivalent qualification; OR
Pass in International Baccalaureate (IB) with at least 24 points; OR
Pass Higher National Diploma (HND) UK (MQF Level 4) in related area and recognized government of Malaysia and according to approval by UniKL Senate; OR
Qualification of 12 years of schooling with the following conditions:
It is the highest school qualification in the country of origin;
It can be used as entry qualification for bachelor’s degree programme in the country of origin.
Diploma Kemahiran Malaysia (DKM)/ Diploma Lanjutan Kemahiran Malaysia (DLKM)/ Diploma Vokasional Malaysia (DVM) Qualification
Pass Diploma Kemahiran Malaysia (DKM)/ Diploma Lanjutan Kemahiran Malaysia (DLKM)/ Diploma Vokasional Malaysia (DVM) with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 subject to the approval of the Senate / Academic Board of the relevant institution; OR
Pass the DKM/DLKM/DVM with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 AND have at least two (2) years of work experience in the related field.
INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
Student must complete 12 years of schooling and obtain general pass in their High School Certificate, A-levels or equivalent with min Grade C (60%) in any 2 subjects and pass (50%) in Mathematics and English in their Secondary School or O-level.
