Overview of Bachelor Of Engineering Technology (Hons) In Precision Engineering in Universiti Kuala Lumpur Malaysia
Precision Engineering program will produce graduates in the field of mechanical engineering specifically focussing on research, design, manufacturing and processing of precision engineering products applied in the automotive, aerospace, information & communication, home appliances and medical equipment industries to name a few. This program involves extensive mechanical design, precision machining, process analysis and assembly techniques of tooling such as dies, moulds, jigs and fixtures, which require highly skilled capabilities.
The use of computer aided technology to realise the design and precision manufacturing of products and tooling is an added advantage for the students to be in pace with the latest trends in the manufacturing industry. Students are also exposed to management and administration modules that shape them up as entrepreneurs who are technologically and also managerially advanced. The duration of the programme is 4 years which includes one semester of industrial training.
