Computational Science is the field of study concerned with constructing mathematical models and its numerical solution techniques, as well as using computers to analyse and solve scientific, social, and engineering problems.
Graduates of this programme can have careers in the fields such as (but not limited to) Statistician, Software Developer, System Analyst, Programmer, Production and Logistic Planner, Operational Research Analyst and Research Scientist.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
STPM
- Obtained at least Grade C (NGMP 2.00) at STPM level in Mathematics T and Information and Communications Technology (ICT) subjects or any one (1) Science-based subject and
- Obtained at least Level 2 (Band 2) in the Malaysian University English Test (MUET)
MATRIKULASI / BASICS
- Get at - least Grade C (CGPA 2.00) at the Matriculation / Foundation i in subjects Mat h observe cs AND
- Get at - least credit at the SPM level grade C in subjects Additional Mathematics AND
- Get at - least Level 2 (Band 2) in the Malaysian University Bahasa Inggeris Test (MUET)
DIPLOMA
- Possess a Diploma in a related field or other qualification recognized by the UNIMAS Senate by obtaining a CGPA of at least 2.50 AND
- Include academic transcripts from semester one to the final semester OR
- Obtained at least Grade C (NGMP 2.00) at STPM level in Mathematics T and Information and Communications Technology (ICT) subjects or any one (1) Science-based subject OR
- Obtained at least Grade C (NGMP 2.00) at Matriculation / Foundation level in Mathematics AND
- Obtained at least Grade C credit at SPM level in Additional Mathematics AND subjects
- Obtained at least Level 2 (Band 2) in the Malaysian University English Test (MUET)
EQUIVALENTS
- Have Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) / equivalent with credit in Bahasa Melayu / Bahasa Malaysia or credit in Malay / Bahasa Malaysia paper in July and passed in the subjects of history (SPM 2013 and above) AND
- Have a GCE A Level qualification with at least a Grade C in two (2) Mathematics and Further Mathematics / Statistics / Computer Science / Science OR
- Pass the International Baccalaureate (IB) with a minimum score of 26 and get at least a score of 4 in two (2) subjects at the following High Level (HL) or Standard Level (SL) levels: Mathematics and Science OR
- Have an Australian Matriculation Program (AUSMAT) with at least Grade C for the following two (2) subjects: Mathematics and Science AND
- Obtained at least level 2 (Band 2) in MUET test / Band 5.5 in IELTS test / score 500 in TOEFL PBT test / score 59 in TOEFL IBT test
