Overview of Bachelor of Engineering Technology (Railway System) with Honours in Universiti Kuala Lumpur Malaysia
Bachelor of Engineering Technology in Railway System main objective is to support the shortage of highly demand skill workers for the rail industries. BET RS degree programme directly related to the railway technology and shall support the shortage of highly demand railway technologist for our nations and global rail industries requirements. Due to the industries requirements, UniKL is producing Hands-on engineers via High-TVET Curriculum graduates. The taught programs is delivered by academics and industrialists to blend theory with practice and producing the next generation of railway engineers and professionals. Currently UniKL has blend in into main group of Local and International Railway companies.

Programme Learning Outcomes (PLOs)
Majors in engineering technology will be able to:
PLO 1
Knowledge: Apply knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals and an engineering specialization to defined and applied Engineering Technology Railway System procedures, processes, systems or methodologies.
PLO 2
Problem analysis: Identify, formulate, research literature and solve broadly-defined Engineering Technology Railway System problems reaching substantiated conclusions using analytical tools appropriate to their discipline or area of specialization.
PLO 3
Design/ Development of solutions: Design solutions for broadly-defined Engineering Technology Railway System problems and contribute to the design of systems, components or processes to meet specified needs with appropriate consideration for public health and safety, cultural, societal and environmental considerations.

Investigation: Conduct investigations of broadly-defined Engineering Technology Railway System problems; locate, search and select relevant data from codes, data bases and literature, design and conduct experiments to provide valid conclusion.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
LOCAL STUDENTS
Minimum MUET Band 2 and
Pass Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) or equivalent with minimum Grade C (GP 2.0) in Mathematics and ONE (1) relevant science subject; OR
Recognised Diploma in Engineering or Engineering Technology or equivalent with minimum CGPA 2.0; OR
Pass A-Level with minimum Grade D in Mathematics and ONE (1) relevant science subject; OR
Pass matriculation with minimum CGPA 2.0 with minimum Grade C (CGPA 2.0) in Mathematics and ONE (1) relevant science subject; OR
STAM with minimum Jayyid minimum Grade C (CGPA 2.0) in Mathematics and ONE (1) relevant science subject or equivalent; OR
Pass in International Baccalaureate (IB) with at least 24 points; OR
Pass Higher National Diploma (HND) UK (MQF Level 4) in related area and recognized by government of Malaysia and according to approval by UniKL Senate;
Qualification of 12 years of schooling with the following conditions:
It is the highest school qualification in the country of origin;
It can be used as entry qualification for bachelor’s degree programme in the country of origin.
Diploma Kemahiran Malaysia (DKM)/ Diploma Lanjutan Kemahiran Malaysia (DLKM)/ Diploma Vokasional Malaysia (DVM) Qualification
Pass Diploma Kemahiran Malaysia (DKM)/ Diploma Lanjutan Kemahiran Malaysia (DLKM)/ Diploma Vokasional Malaysia (DVM) with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 subject to the approval of the Senate / Academic Board of the relevant institution; OR
Pass the DKM/DLKM/DVM with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 AND have at least two (2) years of work experience in the related field.
And achieved minimum MUET Band 2 as requirement to graduate.
INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
Student must complete 12 years of schooling and obtain general pass in their High School Certificate, A-levels or equivalent with min Grade C (60%) in Mathematics and one of the Science subjects (such as Physics, Chemistry or Biology – depending on the programme)
